Celebrating its 9th year, Party for the Parks showcases the best of the ACL Festival experience in an intimate and all-inclusive environment. Partygoers enjoy delicious dining options, games, libations from Austin’s premiere beverage brands and an intimate concert—all while helping raise funds for our city’s nearly 400 parks, trails and green spaces.

A PERFORMANCE BY FESTIVAL FAVORITES

Over the past decade, Portugal. The Man have established themselves as one of rock’s most prized possessions and a live phenomenon. Alongside their musical accomplishments lies the group’s long-standing passion for social justice. Throughout their career, the band has consistently exemplified how deeply they commit to both artistry and activism, officially launching PTM Foundation in 2020 to focus on universal issues related to human rights, community health and the environment.

We’re excited to hit the dance floor with them in support of Austin’s treasured green spaces!

ABOVE & BEYOND AWARD

Ulises Jimenez

He works with Unity Contractor Services and APF learned about him through his work managing invasives at Kendra Page as part of the nature trail project. VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR

Al & Nancy Morgan

Al and Nancy Morgan’s efforts to give back exceed the Austin’s city limits, reaching as far West as Guadalupe Mountains National Park. Over the last 10 years, they set their sights on serving Austin’s parks. In that time, they’ve led It’s My Park Day projects, Clean Sweep workdays, created an Adopt a Creek plan, and many other park service projects in the name of Heritage Hills-Woodbridge Neighborhood Association.

Later, he applied for a neighborhood grant to install an outdoor classroom and meeting space to foster more community gatherings at the park.

PARK CHAMPION OF THE YEAR

Zilker Brewing Company

Our partnership with Zilker Brewing Company began in 2017 when they created the Parks & Rec Pale Ale. Originally intended as a limited release, the popularity of the crisp, citrusy beer earned a spot in their year-round rotation. Since 2017, Zilker Brewing Company has donated over $25,000 to APF through a portion of each Parks & Rec sale! For our 30th Anniversary, they ran limited edition cans, held numerous pop-up events around the city, and continued to share the story of their partnership with APF.

PARTNER OF THE YEAR

Moreland Properties

Moreland Properties joined forces with APF in 2019, supporting our Party for the Parks events each year. Moreland is a founding donor of the Zilker Eagle mini train and supports APF’s mission, community-centered programming and activations year-round.They are also involved with the progression of Austin Parks Foundation’s future and strategic planning.
